Donations & Volunteering

Your support helps sustain culturally-appropriate services, food initiatives, and a welcoming space for the urban Indigenous community of Montreal. All contributions have a direct impact on those accessing our services.

We welcome support through the following:

  • Monetary donation
Support us with a monthly or one-time donation securely online via PayPal or CanadaHelps, by cheque payable to Native Friendship Centre of Montreal Inc., or in person with debit, credit or cash.
  • New clothing
We accept donations of new clothing. Essential clothing is especially appreciated, such as socks, bras, and underwear.
  • Fresh produce
Donations of fresh fruits and vegetables are valuable to support our food initiatives and community meals.
  • Country food
Traditional and country food donations are welcome, as they help us provide culturally meaningful nourishment to the community.
  • Volunteer
Support our community by volunteering your time. Our current volunteering needs are drivers with vehicles, cooking assistance, and cleaning. Complete our volunteer intake form.

Please contact: info@nfcm.org for a tax receipt for monetary or in-kind donations.

Legacy Giving

There are several ways to make a planned gift in support of the Native Friendship Centre of Montreal, including:

  • Bequests (see below)
  • Securities
  • Retirement savings plans
  • Life insurance

Each of these options may offer tax benefits for you and your estate. We encourage you to speak with your advisor (notary, lawyer, accountant, or financial planner) to determine the option that best aligns with your wishes and to ensure your will reflects your intentions.

For more information, please contact: info@nfcm.org.

Bequests

Bequests are a meaningful and lasting way to support the Native Friendship Centre of Montreal and help sustain programs, services, and community initiatives.

They are simple to include in your will and are realized upon your passing. As a planned gift, bequests may help reduce the tax burden on your estate, with an official charitable receipt issued.

Your generosity helps ensure we can continue providing culturally-appropriate support and a welcoming space for the urban Indigenous community in Montréal.
